As I'm sure all of the English blogging community have told you guys.... IT'S SUNNY IN ENGLAND! For those of you who live in exotic, far away climates this may not be a big deal, but in England this is huuuge! I was so pleased when the weather took a change for the better this week and the lovely girls at Glamorous sent me this amazing fringe tunic (I wore it as a dress as I'm a bit on the tiny side) But I've also worn it over jeans and it looks equally amazing.... to be honest it's so perfect for this weather that I don't actually know what I would have done without it This week has been really hectic but you still have two whole days to enter the competition below and win yourself 4 ASTRAEA pieces :) I hope you're all having a really lovely time in the sun, I've spent my afternoon tie dying and drinking Pimms...Lots of Love as always, Penny xo

MY VINTAGE SHOES ADDED TO COLLECTION LATELY...

I wanted to share late photos of my vintage shoes I bought from my last visit to London.One of them was bought from Portobello market and rest of them from Absolut Vintage, Spitalfields.I was on a big vintage shoe hunting there I dont remember how many pairs I tried I was so exhausted.And the fact is I love anything vintage.I can't wait to use them in spring and summer.I tried so many pairs at Oxford Street Top Shop's vintage part of the shop but did not buy any shoes from there.I bought a vintage bag from there I wrote a post about in my previous posts.Anyway today I organised my summer shoes closet and packed most of my boots.I still wear booties though.I need more sun at weekends.

Playing With Pastels

It’s far more interesting when someone has their own style, rather than blindly following the latest fashions. Don’t get me wrong, I love to see what’s in fashion for the season (and I probably get swept up in some of them too…dipped hems anyone?) but I only buy into the trends that I truly like and that work for me and my style. When the trend for candy colours started to take over the rails and magazines, I thought “this is one trend I think I’ll pass on”. It’s not that I don’t like the colours; it’s more that I’m not sure how to make them work for me. I’ve seen some stunning outfits on the blogosphere but they’re not really me.

Anyway, the trouble is that pretty pastel shades are a BIG thing this season so I’m finding it harder and harder to avoid them. So instead of scouring the rails for black, I thought I’d see if there was a way that I could make this colour palette work for me and my style…I like a challenge.

Well of course, after I started looking, I found quite a few items that I liked (typical!). Here are my favourite picks.

And if I were to wear this trend, my outfit would look something like this…

A gorgeous pale blue dress with edgy accessories and some rock chick attitude. I also love the idea of mixing a pale pink jacket with my Iron Maiden t-shirt! Get me, I’m on a roll!

The first diamonds in the world from 'Promession'

Two fabulous Canary diamonds, made from both processes by 'Promessa.SA' in Sweden. Promession is the 'freeze-drying' process of laying the deceased to rest, after the process, this can further be enhanced by growing and dedicating a tree or simply scattering the promains. We [Phoenix] extracted carbon from both processes and made 2 unique diamonds from each. A/ 1.00carat brilliant cut canary and B/ a 1/2 carat canary from the cremated remains. The 1.00 carat is likely to be the standard and a real sparkler. This is yet another 'First' for the group. No1, was the 'Jessica Diamond' (from an ubilical cord) 2nd was the 'London Riots' diamond and 3rd - these two made from 'Promession'. No doublt you will read more about both 'Promessa' and Phoenix Memorial Diamonds (one of only 4 in the world offering the service).

DUBLIN STREET STYLE

At the moment I am reading a Marian Keyes book called This Charming Man and in it there's a character called Lola who's a stylist in Dublin.As the novel is based in Ireland and majorly in Dublin and the fact that Lola is a freelance stylist ( which I would love to MAJORLY do freelance as I do styling all the time,maybe someday) anyway I was interested in Dublin and I found this street style video with gothic rock grunge inspiration.Yes, thats a bit like experimental London or all campuses of Universities, right? I can't say my personal style is grunge or rock or gothic.My personal style is eeclentic vintage meets bohemian meets rockstudds.Yeah,thats my style name.Btw, I really want to find out more on Dublin.Interesting city but seems very very cold.Why cool cities have to be very cold? Bummer.
