My new favourite
Firstly...Happy New Year!!
Here's to a fabulous 2011, and what better way to kick off than introducing you to my new favourite collection!
I’ve always loved structured dresses, anything with a little edge. I recently discovered Kamola, an emerging womenswear designer mainly concentrating on cocktail dresses and evening wear. The collection’s right up my street! Take a look at some of pieces from the Spring Summer 2011 collection:
Inspired by Great Silk Road, the collection is mainly produced from an original ethnic Uzbek fabric - Khan Atlas, famous for its Ikat print. It plays with the borderline of East and West, mixing modern and ancient patterns, and ethnic and contemporary shapes. The designer Kamola Malikova’s Uzbek heritage shines through in her use of oriental motifs.
The strong silhouettes, cinched in waists and fab use of print and colour make this a new favourite of mine!Have a closer look and buy online here:
