Bath's newest gems
There has been a raft of new shops opening in Bath over the last few months. I keep meaning to put a post up about them but have spent so much of my time taking clients shopping that I’ve not had any spare time to devote to my blog. Well, enough is enough, so here are some of the fab new boutiques that have emerged on our streets recently...aren’t we lucky!!
British designers at Fashion Capital,
From Bicester to Bath; hot on the heels of the highly successful ‘British Designers Collective’ concept in Bicester Village comes a follow-on initiative at Milsom Place in the World Heritage City of Bath. The ‘British Designers Boutique’ showcases the very best in British fashion direct from the catwalk with a mix of London Fashion week designers and emerging talent. You’ll find Emma Cook, PPQ, Gwendolyn Carrie to mention just a few. Bath Spa Graduate Natalie S Ellis is one of the new talents to watch, and if you liked the sparkly dresses by Liquorice featured on The Apprentice not long ago, then head here to see them close up.British Designers@FashionCapital, 14-15 Milsom Place, Bath BA1 1BZ, Tel: 01225 489009
Fashionbloodhound.com
Fashion Bloodhound, the brainchild of 22 year old, Bath based Grazziella Pinto, is a dynamic new web-based fashion business, launching in January after months of social media interest and cult following.
Fashion Bloodhound operates in three unique ways. Firstly selling, the site sells carefully selected recycled designer pieces from people who have registered interest in the site and can’t face the hassle of EBay. Secondly, Fashion Bloodhound will source new and vintage pieces from wish lists sent in by clients who lack the time to track them down themselves. Finally Fashion Bloodhound is the only place to go for on the pulse styling and fashion advice.

Mimi Noor
This is the place to go for all your denim needs, The boutique specialises in designer jeans, providing over 40 styles of jeans from size 6-16. Jeans are a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, but are the hardest item of clothing to find. Mimi Noor offer not only the right brands and styles, but also consultative sales to ensure they don’t pigeon hole customers into only wearing jeans for their body shape, but also ones that compliment their personal style and personality. Black and White
I spotted this shop tucked away on Broad Street in Bath. A proper Aladins cave, it’s full to the brim with vintage jewellery, clothing, furniture and the odd designer bargin. It’s well worth a visit but make sure you’ve got plenty in time to while away to make the most of it.

Textile designer Anna Lizzio brings her unique styling to Bath with a Pop-Up lifestyle store in Milsom Place. The collection consists of unique prints on unusual fabrics. It combines classic shapes with a colourful contemporary twist, paying great attention to detail and finishing and selling at a very good price point.
Alongside her own brand, Anna Lizzio is showcasing Scandinavian brands HunkyDory, Naja Lauf and Erfurt scarves. From France, she has Bella Jones knits, Joe’s Jeans and jewellery from Dominique Montagut, as well as Italian labels such as Carlo Zanuso’s Pomandere, and Penelope Chilvers winter-warm shearling clog boots.
